David Bowie

Bowie graced the music industry with his presence in the late 60’s with his thrilling vocals and exciting appearance. The world soon saw the release of the self-named album ‘David Bowie’ which includes some of the most iconic songs recognised, including ‘Space Oddity’ which remains popular to this day. The progression of Bowie’s ‘psychedelic rock’ influenced music lead to an album containing multiple eminent songs such as ‘Changes’ and ‘Life On Mars’ which have been appreciated throughout the years.

During the early 70’s, Bowie appeared as his fictional alter-ego ‘Ziggy Stardust’ triggering the creation of ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’ reaching number 5 on the Billboard Music Charts in the UK introducing the start of the glam rock era of Bowie. The beauty of an artist such as Bowie is that he wrote and performed whatever he wanted which inspires love for his timeless music.

After Bowie’s experiences on the Ziggy Stardust tour, the formation of ‘Aladdin Sane’ was unleashed and this settled the Ziggy Stardust craze. Progressing further into the late 70’s Bowie released the unusual ‘Sound and Vision’ which subsequently reached number 2 in the British charts. Bowie continued to influence the public as he persisted making music, he became increasingly popular as the 80’s arrived this saw the making of ‘Scary Monsters’ which is a personal favourite. As Bowie continued to impress the world with his talents, he released more music as his talents were not yet exhausted. Up until this year, Bowie is in the midst of releasing his most recent masterpiece for release on January 8th 2016, ‘Blackstar’. The single ‘Blackstar’ from the album is pleasant to listen to and does not reflect the sound of any previous music by Bowie. This interesting release creates curiosity surrounding the new album and the prospect of fresh sounding music by the truly mesmerizing artist.
